Shop Opening and Closing Checklist
Simple checklists reduce errors and ensure nothing is missed.
Opening
- Unlock, turn on lights
- Count opening cash (match with yesterday’s closing)
- Check stock of fast movers – any reorder needed?
- Display boards, pricing
- Switch on billing/pos if you use one
Closing
- Count cash – match with sales
- Secure cash (safe or take home)
- Lock high-value stock
- Turn off appliances
- Lock up, alarm if you have one
Weekly
- Count full stock or key items
- Reconcile dues
- Place weekly orders
