Required for food businesses. FSSAI registration (for small) or licence. Display at shop. Valid for 1–5 years.

Storage

Store food away from moisture, pests, sunlight. Packaged food – check seals. Loose items – clean containers. FIFO to reduce expiry wastage.

Expiry Tracking

Never sell expired food. It’s illegal and harms trust. Track batches. Remove expired items. Use Expiry Countdown to plan.

Recalls

If a batch is recalled, pull it immediately. Keep purchase records to trace batches.
